LAFAYETTE, La. – The African-American Heritage Foundation hosted their annual Senior Citizen Day Thursday at the Martin Luther King Center in Lafayette.
Seniors had the opportunity to enjoy a prayer service, Zydeco food and music.
“Well It’s always important for us to say thank you to the people who paved the way for all of us who did everything to raise our kids our grandkids and build this community to what it is today,” said Maisha Chargois, a board member with the African American Heritage Foundation.
