Updates from the other states!
Specifically, one state and two territories:
Federal politicians arriving from Perth into Canberra are being told to go directly to their accommodation and await instructions.
They were flying to the ACT when WA’s Premier announced his state would go into a five day lockdown after a hotel quarantine security guard tested positive to COVID-19.
We haven’t heard if that’s going to apply to non-politicians, but it seems reasonable to expect that it will.
South Australia is telling travellers to self-quarantine:
A police spokesman confirmed that people arriving on three flights from Perth to Adelaide are being directed to self-quarantine at an appropriate location for two weeks and get a test on days 1, 5 and 12.
Finally, the Northern Territory Government has declared Perth, the Peel Region and the South West of Western Australia as COVID-19 hotspots.
From 7:30pm CST tonight, any person travelling to the Northern Territory from those areas must undertake 14 days mandatory supervised quarantine.
Anyone who arrived in the Northern Territory from Western Australia between January 25 and January 31 must have a COVID-19 test and undertake self-quarantine until a negative test is returned.
