The Partnership between the PNG Sports Foundation and EMTV will ensure that more than 27 million people across five different countries get to see the Great Britain Lions end their Southern Hemisphere tour against the PNG LNG Kumuls.

The Acting Chief Executive Officer of EMTV Sheen Hughes said that EMTV will be partnering with overseas broadcasters live on Saturday.

“We are the host Broadcaster that will be taking it to the world. We are partnering with international partners BBC in the United Kingdom, Sky Sports in New Zealand, Fox Sports Australia and channel 9 also in Australia the match will also be live streamed,” Hughes said

The EMTV crew is setting up at the Oil Search National Football Stadium for the match on Saturday to ensure that there are no disruptions to the broadcast.

“We are very proud that we are using local resources 90 percent of the broadcast team are Papua New Guinean locals and that is a big achievement for EMTV.

“We are very proud to be partnering with the PNG sports foundation to bring the covrage,” Hughes added.

Sports Foundation Director for Major Events and Marketing John Susuve said the partnership was to ensure that the broadcast gets to reach the majority of people in Papua New Guinea.

“We are supporting one of PNGs top Television station EMTV, a long time TV station a PNG owned company, it gives us the standing that we are bringing the game across PNG,” Susuve said

Susuve added that the Partnership with EMTV is a stepping stone for the organization to bring more sporting content on television in future.

“Our chief executive officer Peter Tsiamalili Jnr has created new pathways for sports in the country and bringing on the partnership with EMTV gives us new direction,” Susuve added
