As many of you may know, I’m retiring from 10TV News this month. My last day on the air will be Tuesday at 6. I’ve enjoyed a great 45-year career with the Dispatch Broadcast Group. I’ve been blessed to travel the world pursuing stories.
I’ll be sharing some of my favorites with you.
In June 1996, Ohio State made history. the Buckeyes were the first American college basketball team to play in South Africa after the fall of apartheid.
The primary purpose of the tour was to foster ties between Ohio State and African universities. Just as Nelson Mandela did in a country that had imprisoned him.
The end of Apartheid marked a historic turn for South Africa. But today, six years after the death of Nelson Mandela, millions of black South Africans remain in the grip of poverty and crime. unemployment remains high.
