The rents are confidential, however, average A grade rents for existing accommodation in North Sydney currently range from $790 to $850 per sq m net. Brisbane-based Set Up Camp has just leased a 1085 sq m freestanding warehouse at 19 Sovereign Place to expand its presence into the Sydney Market. The off-market deal with a private landlord is on a three-year lease plus a three-year option on a gross annual rental $144,530. LJ Hooker Commercial’s Aymen Sobbi negotiated the deal.
ESR has leased a 1370 sq m, high clearance warehouse at 17/7-15 Gundah Road to Shark Racking for $135 sq m. John Carney, Colliers International.
The existing lessee Ponmora Pty Ltd has bought a 1455 sq m property at 451A Victoria Street, from a private investor for $3.8 million. The deal was equal to $2612 per sq m. The transaction was handled exclusively by Marcel Elias of LJ Hooker Commercial.
A private owner-occupier has sold a 1568 sq m freestanding warehouse situated on a land area of 2496 sq m at 104 Derby Street to Parramatta Asset Management Pty Ltd for $5 million. The property had internal clearances of 7 metres and access through one large roller shutter door. LJ Hooker Commercial’s Aymen Sobbi and Daniel David negotiated the sale prior to auction.
Board of Evolve FM, which is jointly-owned by JLL and the Indigenous-owned building and construction company, PSG Holdings, has appointed Shane Hamilton as Evolve FM’s incoming chief executive. Mr Hamilton has executive experience across corrective services, housing and the professional services sectors in government and corporate enterprises. Most recently, he was the chief executive of the NSW Aboriginal Housing Office and now joins Evolve FM from his role as the head of PwC’s Indigenous Consulting in NSW and ACT. He will start at Evolve FM on the April 20 following a handover from Mark Coleman who has been leading Evolve FM in the interim.
Devine Ltd has appointed James Mackay as chief executive and executive director, effective March 31. Mr Mackay has held senior executive roles across a range of industries and is the chief financial officer and company secretary of the company. Mr Mackay succeeds John Campbell.
