TWO MEN were shot dead and another wounded following a shooting incident at Almond Drive, Morvant at around 3 pm on Saturday.

Police declined to release information about the incident but Newsday understands the two men were shot multiple times and died at the scene.

Another man appeared to have been shot multiple times was taken to hospital. The identities of the men were not released by police.

The latest shooting was the third double murder which occurred in the country under 24 hours.

On Friday night, at around 7.45 pm, Kathleen Theroulde, 56, and her son Keron “Juice” Theroulde, 29, were shot dead at their home at Cornelius Drive, Tunapuna.

Less than three hours later, two brothers were shot dead in Tobago. Kenton James, 39, and Kenwyn James, 32, were in the road near to Wide Choice Supermarket in Les Coteaux, when they were shot multiple times. They also died at the scene.

Tobago had had no prior murders for the year.
